Taba

Taba, Egypt located near the northern tip of the Gulf of Aqaba is the "gateway to Sinai" because it is the busiest border crossing in Egypt for travelers from Israel on their way to other destinations within Egypt. The small town consists of a casino, a few luxury hotels, restaurants, and shops. Taba is bordered by a beautiful coastline of blue and turquoise waters and is renowned for having some of the best scuba diving in the world. This significant diving area brings in tourists looking to free dive, scuba dive, and is great place to learn to dive with several diving schools available. Israelis come to Taba often for weekend getaways of gambling and playing in the crystal clear waters.

Pampering is offered in the luxury hotels with day spas, room service, and accommodations beautiful enough for any visitor passing through to want to stay a few days. Guided day excursions can be taken from Taba into Cairo to see the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the last remaining Ancient Wonder of the World or to Jordan to see the incredible Rose Red City of Petra which is carved out of the rocks by the Nabateans. Go diving or snorkeling to see the stunning coral reefs in the protected bay called the Fjord or hike in the stunning Coloured Canyon, a natural marvel offering a kaleidoscope of color. While Taba may be considered a weekend retreat or the entrance to Egypt there is plenty of unforgettable sights and scenery to make it worth spending some of your holiday here.
