California
The State of California has many holiday destinations that can accommodate many types of vacationers. Whether looking for fun in the sun or serenity in the snow, California really does have it all. The coastline stretches from San Diego to San Francisco and beyond; the inland areas provide a number of breathtaking sites and fulfilling activities as well.
<b>Northern </b>
Northern California is known for its redwood forests that contain a cluster of the tallest trees in the world. The Sierra Nevada Mountain Range includes historical state parks, Lake Tahoe, Big Bear Lake, and a number of other reputable places that provide quality lodging and entertainment. On the coastal side, Half Moon bay is most notable for Maverick’s Beach, where surfers from around the world dare to ride some of the biggest waves on the Pacific Rim.
<b>Central</b>
Central California’s Napa Valley is also known as “wine tasting country,” with expansive vineyards as far as the eye can see. Scattered about the rolling hills, pocketed bed and breakfast inns complete the scenic view. Fine dining and wine tasting qualify Napa Valley as one the most desired holiday spots in the region. Located just minutes away, Sonoma County is famous for its quiet, pristine looking ocean waters. Folks at The Sea Ranch Beach Hotel and Resort have been known to pamper their guests.
<b>Southern</b>
The landscape of Southern California allows locals and vacationers alike to share in the dream. From Los Angeles to San Diego, the temperate sea level climate calls for sunny days at the beach, and the higher mountain elevations provide for days in the snow. And of course, Southern California is home to Hollywood, the Sunset Strip, Universal Studios, Disneyland, Magic Mountain, a thousand restaurants, and a seemingly endless list of activities. California really does have it all.
