Stalis is an extremely interesting place to visit on holiday. It is somewhere that people tend to either love or hate. This town hosts some of Crete's best beaches. However, they can get quite crowded during the summertime. Also, many of the beaches that stretch from Malia to Stalis are covered with organized beds for sunbathing that take up a good deal of the room that could be devoted to other more important pursuits, such as intense frisbee games and the like. Precaution is recommended for families who have small children. The sea can become quite rough and intense at times, although this is definitely not the norm. The sea is usually very calm and a real joy for children to experience, but it is necessary to keep an eye on it to stay safe.
Stalis is something of a raucous party town. When night falls, the town goes wild and lights up with discos that blare intoxicating rhythms throughout the centre of the town. The Greek restaurants that are located on the outskirts of the small town join in with them. Although this lively town is not nearly as lively as the neighboring city of Malia, it does offer a great deal of fun for people who like to have a good time. A small Blackpool can be seen upon exiting the hotel for the evening meal or to get some fresh air on a walk through the town's charming streets. However, this resort caters to all sorts of different and varied tastes, which range all over the map from finer Greek restaurants that serve the traditional cuisine of the area to English pubs.
Stalis is a beautiful and relaxing place to take a holiday. The local residents all love to have fun and are very quick to laugh and over hospitality.
