Son Bou holidays are a wonderful way for families to relax and spend time together away from the pressures of modern life. Son Bou Beach
The beach at Son Bou is the longest in Menorca, a full 1.86 miles (3 km) of golden sand, rolling sand dunes, and marshes. The area is always kept clean, and since the water is shallow, it allows children to enjoy wading and paddling on the edge of the gently sloping beach.
Those who enjoy watersports can find a wide variety here, including pedalos, snorkeling, windsurfing, and jet skiing.
Bars scattered around the beach provide a welcome retreat for those seeking shade and refreshments.
A nude beach, on the furthest end of the beach, toward Santo Tomas, allows tourists to completely eliminate all tan lines.
Enormous beachfront hotels lie on the fringes of the beach. These offer a wide range of facilities for sports, large swimming pools, and even clubs for kids. Accommodation is also available in the form of self-catering apartments.
Directly behind Son Bou is San Jaime, which has its own restaurant, shops, and accommodations.
The Town of Son Bou
The town consists of restaurants, bars, shops, and supermarkets. While there is some nightlife, most of it is in the hotels, where guests can enjoy musical shows and other entertainment. Near to the town of Son Bou is the town of Alaior which has traditional shops where visitors can look for shoes, leather products, jewelry, and pottery.
